Habitat: Open water.
Behaviour: It is not uncommon for it to follow yachts and other small and big vessels. It has been seen with turtles, jellyfish and floating objects such as seaweed and driftwood. Ships and boats of all sizes bring them from open water into ports and yachting harbours.
Diet: Planktonic crustaceans and molluscs such as the acorn barnacle.
