Mediterranean Shore Crab (Carcinus Aestuarii)

Habitat: This common crab lives on sandy and rocky shores and in shallow waters.

Size: Up to 8cm across.

Enemies: The Venetians eat this crab when it is soft (newly moulted) and call it "moleche".
